Dr. Van Lente strives to provide quality veterinary care with a compassionate attitude. His focus is Reproduction and Dairy Herd Health. 

He is very interested in the reproductive system.  He is currently working on embryo transfer and many other new therapies in the equine world.

Besides reproduction, he takes a large interest in production.  In the dairy world he is known for his work with Mastitis. Much of his time is spent with animals in a herd setting.  This keeps him very busy through out the week.   

Dr. Van Lente also has experience in Equine Nutrition and Equine Dentistry.

Jason graduated from Michigan State University with Bachelors of Science in both Animal Science and Fisheries & Wildlife, as well as his Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine degree. In 1998, he achieved his Bachelors of Science degree in Fisheries and Wildlife. This was followed in 1999 by a BS in Animal Science, and his DVM degree in 2003. He is currently a member of AABP (American Association of Bovine Practitioners) and AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association).

Dr. Van Lente grew up on a horse farm and credits that as his influence to becoming a veterinarian. He works at contining education in his field by attending vet conferences and studying veterinary magazines. As an individual and herd health practitioner, Jason not only concentrates on the physical ailments that he sees, but the underlying cause and impact it may have on other animals in the herd.

At home, Jason is happily married to Niki. They have a wonderful daughter, Lexi, as well as twins, Brevon and Danielle! Jason and his family live in the Battle Creek area and are involved in the community through church activities.
